Basic Forest Management Plan
A basic forest management plan is a site-specific conservation plan that contains planned forest -related conservation treatment activities for one or more resource concerns. This plan includes maps and inventories documenting existing conditions and desired future conditions. Although this plan and its contents are expected to fulfill the requirements set by ODF and NRCS, collaboration with an ODF forester for use in any government contract is required.
This habitat plan creates or maintains a conservation benefit and meets the standards and objectives of the ODFW program. The plans can accommodate agricultural or forestry activities that are consistent with the habitat objectives of the program. Habitat plans are written to emphasize native habitat values on the property and need to exclude parts of the property where ongoing uses and activities do not support habitat conservation as the primary objective.
